My Net Worth Update #20

Let’s jump straight to my new net worth for the month of November!

Hi, I’m Dredd De Jesus, and I’m on a journey to make money, pay off debt and build wealth. If you’re on the same path as me, or want to know more about making money online or side hustles, you’ve come to the right place! Make sure to follow my socials to get notified of new content.

All numbers here are logged in as of November 30 at 5pm. As always, to make things simpler in my blog, I’m going to do bullet points and quick summaries so that there’s no need to read.

My Assets (Cash & Savings)

CASH Details: I have 1 account that I consider my personal checking account.

  • Wells Fargo — $230.20
  • EdFinancial Refund — $11,620.23

SAVINGS Details: I have 1 personal high-yield savings account.

  • Yotta — $8,005.75

SUMMARY:

CASH — December isn’t an easy month to save to be honest. My cash has dipped since the previous month.

SAVINGS — Not a lot of growth for this month too since I started using my gifts fund. Luckily there were still leftover which I will be using for 2023’s gift fund.

My Assets (Investments)

INVESTMENT Details: I have 6 investment accounts: 3 money market accounts & 3 cryptocurrency accounts. I have added multiple crypto yield farms to monitor.

Stock Market

  • TDAmeritrade — $3,083.88
  • WeBull — $9,513.21
  • Public — $63.76

Cryptocurrency

  • Coinbase — $50.65
  • KuCoin — $503.44
  • Wallets — $45.05
  • Cake DeFi — $106.64

SUMMARY:

Stocks — Stocks are starting to slide down and I can definitely it with my portfolio. The recession fears are becoming real and that’s something that I’m going to take advantage of. While some stocks are sliding, I will be loading up on them so I can ride the wave up.

If you’re ever interested in investing in stocks, WeBull and Public are great platforms to start with because they give you signup bonuses. So make sure to check out WeBull for 2 free stocks and Public for a free stock worth $50 or more!

Cryptocurrency — 2022 was not a good year for crypto. Investors are losing confidence in the space and it was exacerbated by multiple scandals and issues from crypto companies. I still feel that the space is a good place to invest and make money from, but I won’t be betting too much on it right now. I’ll maybe add small amounts here and there just so I can add to my portfolio on the way up.

Total Assets for November

December 2022: $33,205.81
Change: –$220.46 (-0.66%)

My Liabilities (Credit Cards)

CREDIT CARDS Details: I have 1 personal credit card.

  • Discover It — $229

My Liabilities (Student Loans)

STUDENT LOANS Details: I have 1 federal student loan account.

  • EdFinancial — $12,144.14

SUMMARY:

My credit card has grown for this month. It was bigger than the $229 shown here at the beginning of the month, but I started paying it right away. I like paying my credit card debt per transaction, so I can keep track. The leftover amount was a bit big, so I’m keeping it for now.

Student loans are still the same. There are no news in regards to the cancellation. There has been too many issues facing it right now that the administration is having a hard time pushing it through. We’ll just have to see how it goes this year.

I’m already set for this, so I don’t have to worry too much about it. I made sure that the refund I got is earning interest while it’s waiting to be used. Plus, I already have the additional funds to completely pay off the loan.

Total Liabilities for December

December 2022: $12,470.55
Change: $320 (2.63%)

My Net Worth for December 2022

So my new Net Worth at the end of December 2022 is $20,832.67, a decrease of $123.05 — a 0.59% decrease compared to the previous month, November.

When the year ended, I had the feeling that my net worth was not going to go up and I was right about it.

January is going to be a month for recovery, so honestly speaking, I’m not expecting a growth too.

I’m going to focus on my business and writing this year, so I have decided to take a break from creating videos.

With that in mind, I’ll be working hard to make money on my content creation so I can help my net worth grow despite recession fears.

I’m quite excited for this year though so I’ll be looking forward to making more written content and grow my business.
