My Net Worth Update #17

Time for another net worth update! On my Net Worth Update #16, I had a net worth of $18,428.60.

I boosted some of my numbers, but some have decreased too!

All numbers here are logged in as of September 30 at 5pm. As always, to make things simpler in my blog, I’m going to do bullet points and quick summaries so that there’s no need to read.

My Assets (Cash & Savings)

CASH Details: I have 1 account that I consider my personal checking account.

  • Wells Fargo — $321.15

SAVINGS Details: I have 1 personal high-yield savings account.

  • Yotta — $7,067.60

SUMMARY:

CASH — Bigger than last months due to an increase in my income for September.

SAVINGS — I’ve added $500 to it due to my new commitment. I’ve completely funded one of my savings bucket for gifts at $475. I created a new bucket for my student loans set at $575. It’s currently funded at $475.

My Assets (Investments)

INVESTMENT Details: I have 6 investment accounts: 3 money market accounts & 3 cryptocurrency accounts. I have added multiple crypto yield farms to monitor.

Stock Market

  • TDAmeritrade — $2,474.32
  • WeBull — $7,861.94
  • Public — $64.72

Cryptocurrency

  • Coinbase — $70.94
  • KuCoin — $693.85
  • Wallets — $51.65
  • Cake DeFi — $160.15

SUMMARY:

Stocks — the stock market isn’t doing well right now and that’s reflected in my portfolio. Around $1,000 in loss just for this month and I’m sure it’s going to continue well till the end of the year.

Either way, I’m going to keep investing. Dividend stocks will be cheaper at this point, so it’s the best time to load up on more shares.

If you’re ever interested in investing in stocks, WeBull and Public are great platforms to start with because they give you signup bonuses. So make sure to check out WeBull for 2 free stocks and Public for a free stock worth $50 or more!

Cryptocurrency — they’re performing almost the same as in the stock market. KuCoin grew a bit, but it’s not a significant increase.

Total Assets for September

September 2022: $18,817.97
Change: -$322.17 (-1.68%)

My Liabilities (Credit Cards)

CREDIT CARDS Details: I have 1 personal credit card.

  • Discover It — $41.91

My Liabilities (Student Loans)

STUDENT LOANS Details: I have 1 federal student loan account.

  • EdFinancial Group A — $523.91

SUMMARY:

I lowered my credit card debt compared to August. During this month, we went to Disneyland and use this card for all purchases. I paid it off right away and I’m left with some amount that is not Disneyland related.

Student loan is still the same, so there is no point in talking about it.

Total Liabilities for September

September 2022: $565.82
Change: -$145.72 (-20.48%)

My Net Worth for September 2022

So my new Net Worth for September 2022 is $18,252.15, a decrease of $176.45 — a 0.96% decrease compared to the previous month, August.

Not a very good month because of my stock market portfolio’s performance. I can’t do anything about it, but just move on and take the L.

What I can do though is increase my income. And fortunately, September was a month where I did increase my income, offsetting some of the loss from my portfolio.

For October, I’m going to do what I’ve been doing for the past months and focus on building my income streams, specifically my active income. It has more potential right now, and I make more money from it than my passive streams.

My passive income streams can wait since it still makes me money even though I’m not paying attention to it.
