Final Thoughts

July (and June) was a great month for me. It’s something that is to be expected with the way my portfolio is at the moment. July is one of those months that experience really high dividend payouts because of $GNL.

While I have liked having $GNL as a dividend payer, I came to a realization that I cannot always rely on investing in REITs. Because of the sudden loss in value around May and June on my REIT-heavy portfolio, I decided to start diversifying my portfolio.

The addition of $FTS and $OHI is the start of that plan. I will continue to look for dividend stocks that are consistent in paying and have long-term potential, so I can keep cashing in those dividends.

I will continue NOT to check too much on my portfolio as I had intended for it. I want to see it grow with minimal oversight and make it as passive as I can make it to be.
